WOW WOW WOW!! I was listening to K-love online today. As I was working the show host mentioned Crock Pot Girls. I almost fell out of my chair.
Here is the timeline:
August 19th – they started a simple group on Facebook called Crock Pot Girls
August 24th – I liked them after a friend of mine did and then over 45 friends of mine have liked the page
August 26th – I posted about the circle of influence of the Crock Pot Girls and they had 177,000 followers
September 1st – they are now at 974,872 fans.
The BEST part about this site… is that they are busting their tails to read posts, edit posts and drop the nay sayers. I watched the posts and in a few minutes 3 negative nellie posts were removed. That is GREAT. The message is simple join in on the fun or unlike them and move on. This doesn’t have to be a lifetime commitment. If you see a recipe you like copy into in MS Word doc so you can have a list of your favorites to try. These 3 women (and hopefully all their family and friends who are now standing behind and beside them) are doing the best they can. I am impressed.
Can’t wait to keep seeing where these Crocking Mamas end up. I think they will be on the Today Show or the like very soon.
It is amazing to see what a nerve they have hit. We all want to feed our families and feed them well.
And if you cross paths with the Crock Pot Girls, wish them well. I bet on August 18th this idea was just a lark! Now the lark has turned into a twisting turning roller coaster of outpour!
Checked again… now they are at 975,839… in 10 minutes time!!!
